McWane Ductile Ohio - Electrician


Primary job duties include but are not limited to the following:

Consists of maintaining electrical equipment such as wiring, controls, motors and electrical mechanisms throughout the plant. Responsible for inspecting, preventive maintenance and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment throughout the plant.

  • Planning and organizing
  • Associated mechanical work
  • Repairs equipment on breakdown
  • Replace electrical and associated mechanical parts
  • Fabricate and install new electrical equipment and/or facilities.
  • Directs helpers (s) and/or apprentices
  • Maintains electrical tools and equipment used in good and safer operating condition
  • Makes quality and safety checks on work performed
  • Performs other duties as directed by supervisor



Plans the work from electrical schematics, sketches, drawings and equipment. Determines supplies required to perform the job. Use knowledge of electrical and mechanical principals to perform the work on a daily and emergency basis. Must be able to use hand and/or power tools and equipment regularly to lift, hoist, move, position parts and equipment. Must be able to use electrical and mechanical materials and supplies, perform in maintenance facilities throughout the plant as well as all departments throughout the plant. Electricians and mechanics hand tools, test equipment and other Maintenance Department hand and power tools will be used.

  • Work in a physically demanding, loud industrial manufacturing environment
  • Walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces
  • Work on/around heavy moving equipment/large machinery
  • Work in an environment that may be indoors/outdoors, cold/hot, with exposure to dirt/dust/grit/fumes/chemicals and smoke
  • Hear, speak and use close and distance vision
  • Work various shifts, weekends and overtime
  • Meet attendance schedules with dependability and consistency
  • Communicate with supervisors and other associates
  • Work within a team and take direction from supervisors
  • Understand and follow work and safety rules, operating instructions and procedures

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
