Some of our individuals live in a group setting with 1-2 other people, while some live on their own.
Direct Support Professionals provide a vital service to our individuals so that each one can live his/her own life to fullest possible extent.

A DSP's primary goal to provide care to the individuals.
The health, safety and overall well-being of each individual is our top priority.
A DSP assists individuals in his/her day to life.
This includes:
Transportation, including to and from Doctor's appointments, grocery shopping, visiting family or friends, or other activities.
Assisting with shopping, including going to the grocery store, a gift for a friend or family member, clothing or other games and activities.
The DSPs assist with price comparisons, budgeting and register transactions.
Meal preparation, whether the individual is able to prepare his/her own meals with supervision from the DSP or if the DSP prepares the meals him/herself.
General housekeeping duties Maintaining personal hygiene Planning activities for the individuals.
This could be simply going for a walk, assisting with math, language and writing, going to the movies or a restaurant and anything else a DSP can think of that the individual would be interested in.
Working closely with the individual's team including other DSPs, residential managers, guardians and healthcare staff to maintain effective communication.
Follow the individual's Individual Service Plan (ISP) to maintain services tailored to the individual's specific needs.
Provide guidance and redirection of behaviors when necessary.

Must be at least 18 years old or older Must be legally authorized to work in the United States A valid Driver's license Proof of valid vehicle insurance A High School Diploma or GED (DODD will temporarily waive the requirement that DSPs must have a high school diploma or GED.
Employees without a high school diploma or GED cannot be certified to administer medications) Sign on bonus applies to Millersburg and Coshocton location only.
Bonus will be paid in 2 parts.
The first payment will be made after the first 30 days of successful employment with no attendance issues (Absences/Tardiness/Leaving early) The second payment will be made after 90 days of successful employment with no attendance issues.
Full-time employees will receive two payments of $500, totaling $1000.
Full-time employees must work a total of 32 hours per week during the entire 90-day period Excluding the week of training.
Part-time employees will receive two payments of $250, totaling $500.
Part-time employees must work a minimum of 20 hours per week during entire 90-day period excluding the week of training.
First payment will be made on the first date of pay after 30 days.
Second payment will be made on the first date of pay after 90 days.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
